Andy Slater is a Toronto-born award-winning Creative Director currently working at Universal Music Canada.
Graduating from the OCAD University thesis masterclass with a degree in Advertising, he has amassed 20+ years in the advertising & design industry. Starting out as in-house designer for the Drake Hotel, he has taken a path where music has followed.
Working at global agencies such as Grip Limited, Taxi, DDB, & Anomaly gave him a chance to work with music-focused clients such as Budweiser, Bud Light, Nike, Live Nation & Spotify. Through his work he has received accolades from some of the world’s most respected Advertising & Design shows such as Cannes Lions, One Show, ADCCs, Cassies & CMAs. He also spent time as freelance Creative Director launching the premium cannabis lifestyle brand Tokyo Smoke. He officially made the move over to Universal Music Canada in 2018 where he leads the creative department overseeing the design, web, & video content production teams.
